#23: The Breath Between Worlds

A reflection for the in-between moments. The pauses that remind us we are more than a body, yet fully alive within one.

At birth, we wait. Not just for the inhale, but for the cry.

The exhale.

The release that announces: I’m here.

And at death, there’s a pause.

A gasp.
A sigh.
A quiet letting go.

Whether it begins with an inhale or ends with an exhale, the breath is not just a biological act.

It’s a threshold.

The first thing you do when you arrive.
The last thing you do when you leave.

And in between, it is the bridge between the body and the soul.

The breath doesn’t just sustain you.

It reminds you.
You are spirit moving through form.

Every inhale: a receiving.

Every exhale: a returning.

And the quality of that rhythm shapes how fully you live between the two.

Veronica Penacho explores the art of living slowly. Through reflections on nourishment, curiosity, movement, and everyday life, she invites women to step out of the rush of doing and rediscover their own rhythm in the middle of life.
