Before the Reflection: A Conversation on Returning to What’s Natural

A spontaneous offering on what it really means to return, not to an ideal, but to yourself.

This wasn’t what I planned to record.

I had written a reflection, prepared to speak into the microphone, ready to share Episode 14 of the podcast. But then something happened, my mic wouldn’t cooperate. And instead of forcing the flow, I listened. I turned on my camera, sat down, and let a different kind of reflection come through.

What unfolded was a real-time conversation… not just about the words “natural” and “normal,” but about how easy it is to lose touch with our true rhythm, our presence, and our sense of belonging to ourselves.

This video is the conversation before the practice.

A soft place to land, breathe, and ask:

What if your natural state wasn’t something to strive toward, but something to remember?

You don’t return by force. You return by remembering. You rest, not because the world is quiet, but because you’ve stopped fighting your place in it.

Something to Think About…

  • Where in your life have you accepted something as “normal” that no longer feels true?

  • What does your body remember, even when your mind forgets?

Note: Episode 14 of the Align with Veronica podcast—“What Does It Mean to Be Natural? – Returning to What Your Body Remembers”—will be released shortly.

I'm currently tending to a little microphone mystery (hopefully a simple fix!), and once that’s resolved, I’ll be recording and sharing the full reflection.
